Ford Galaxy gearbox problem going from sixth gear to fifth

When changing down from sixth gear to fifth the gear leaver will not engage. All gear changes from 1 to 6 are smooth and hassle free. When changing down we have to go from 6 to 4 in order to use 3 and 2 for slowing. Have tried double clutching and going into neutral first but still cannot get the gear lever to go from 6 to 5?

It would appear to be a internal gearbox problem. You may have to get a Good Garage to have a look inside the box itself to identify the problem. You can find one here: good-garage-guide.honestjohn.co.uk/
