Must I pay a private parking notice issued in a local retail park?

I was parked in a local retail park but overstayed. A notice was left on my car to advise but I have now received a parking notice for £70.00 to be paid in the next 28 days, but if I pay earlier the fee will only be £45.00. Are these parking notices legal and do I have to pay?

All you have to do is send them £5 or £10 "in reasonable payment in full for my breach of contract in overstaying the contracted parking time". They will then either have to accept this or take you to court where their unreasonable penalty will probably be thrown out.
