Yeti winter tyres

I want to fit winter tyres on 16-inch steel rims. Skoda suggests 215/60R16. I reckon a better speedo/ odometer match would be with one of the following (A)225/55R16 (B)205/60R16 (C)195/65R16 (C)195/70R15. Which one would you select to give the best overall result?

Michelin gives the correct sizes for 16-inch wheels on your car as 215/60 R16 95H or 205/55 R16 91H. The wider 205/55s will give slightly better 'handling'. The taller 201/60s should give better comfort, but, being reinforced 95Hs, will have stiffer sidewalls so may not.

The choice of effective all weather tyres has now widened and includes Michelin Cross Climate and Nokian Weatherproof as well as the very effective Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons. Whether you need different bots or not depends on whether the alloys have flat shouldered or tapered bolts and how thick the alloy is in relation to the lengths of the bolts. You may find you can use the same.
