Should I expect the dealer to replace the clutch on an imported car?
I purchased an imported 1996 Nissan Skyline from a local import specialist, the car has 60,000 miles on the clock. I have had the car for 4 weeks and driven 400 miles. The clutch is slipping, the dealer has said that it is not his problem the car is about 20 years old and i cannot expect him to sort the problem out.
Is he right?

A court would look at what is "reasonable" in this circumstance. There is a general rule that any serious fault with a used car is the responsibility of the dealer for 6 months from the date of sale. But a 20 year old highly specialist high performance car is a different thing and I think that there is a reasonable expectation of faults like a slipping clutch.
