Number plates

The new Fabia Estate SE that I ordered for Sept has arrived early at the dealership. I had planned on 65 plates. They have offered an inducement equivalent to £100 for me to take the car early on 15 plates. Shall I take it? I am thinking about second hand values when I come to sell it

A 65 plate will make a difference, but a diminishing one. I'd go for the £100 and getting the car to enjoy for what's left of the summer.

I have a £500 deposit on one of the very last MK6 Golf GTDs. I wanted to collect it in January 2013 and also asked the dealer for it to be registered then, so it would be a 2013/62 instead of a 2012/62....
This might be a bit of a strange question, but I've got a friend who wants to buy a new car for delivery early Sept to get the new '62' registration plate, BUT - she lives in Leeds but wants the new car...
