It appears Ford's current preference is to maintain high official list prices and then to rely on dealers to grant large market place discounts in order to bring prices into line with market competitors. Does this not mean that Ford is now out of the company car supply market, since a car tax benefit is calculated using the Official List Price for the vehicle and not the price actually paid? This is despite the fact that this may be several thousand pounds below list price - and even despite the fact that the car may have been purchased at a secondhand price.
