Replacement tyres for Qashqai

I have 19 inch wheels on my Qashqai 2014. The tyres are Continental 225x45x19W. They came with the car when new, but are are wearing very quickly? Can you suggest an alternative tyre that has an harder compound that will not wear as quickly?

Sell the 19-inch wheels on eBay and fit 17-inch wheels with 215/60 R17 Continentals. www.tyremen.co.uk can source the wheels for about £350. May even take the 19s in p/x.
