I can't get my Toyota Previa's electric window to operate properly - any ideas?
I have a 1994 Toyota Previa 2L Petrol. The nearside electric window failed so I removed the door panel, unplugged the motor and tried to use a 12v battery to wind it up and down, but something was seized and the motor drew lots of current. I removed the whole mechanism, stripped it down, stripped the motor, cleaned the brushes etc and re-assembled and refitted it to the car. The window will now go up and down nicely from a battery, but there is no power on the window switch connector - it looks like the jammed window caused a fuse to blow.
I have checked the fuses in the main fuse box on the dash, but I wonder if there is another fuse somewhere for the electric windows? The drivers window works fine so perhaps that's another fused circuit?
Pity there isn't a decent repair manual for the Previa!

Sorry but I do not have a wiring diagram for the Previa. You say that the driver's window works fine, so what you could do is remove a fuse at a time until the driver's window stops working. That then may indicate the power supply (ie the fuse circuit). Failing that, you could try rigging another wire from a known fused point to the window switch connector (as long as the fuse amp rating was sufficient).
