Can you recommend a used car for £6000?

I am looking to buy a second hand car for £6000, preferably four or five-door, automatic gearbox, preferably leather seats, something smart but not expensive to run. Could you please recommend a suitable make and model or makes and models?

Automatic and leather are options, not standard fit, on most mid-size cars, so it's a matter of trawling through ads looking for those features. An automatic will obviously be more expensive to run than a manual because it uses more fuel. You'll obviously get better value in a Focus or cee'd than in a BMW 1-Series or an A3 or a Golf.
