Toyota Yaris - keep or sell?

I have a 2005 Toyota Yaris 1.3 with 72,000 on the clock. I'm looking for suggestions to replace in the future, either new or second hand.

Currently only do 5000 miles per year, mainly urban but once-a-week on the motorway. Job may change in the future, so possibly need something for much longer commute (12,000 miles per year). What do you suggest?

You have perhaps the most reliable small car, so a replacement could be a disappointment. You don't tell us how much you can spend, so difficult to suggest a replacement.
