Why is my Citroen leaking oil?

My Citroen Xsara Picasso (2000 model) has an oil leak. According to a local mechanic, the rocker gasket is leaking. They have replaced it but it is still leaving little patches of oil on the driveway.

When the mechanic showed me what was wrong he pointed out that the oil had been soaking into the sponge material on the bottom plate under the car.
Is it likely that the oil is still dripping off this plate from the previous leak or do I need to take it back for them to look at it again?

That is possible, yes. Mucky job to take the plate off and clean it. Have a look for yourself to see if oil is still seeping out of the top of the engine.
