How reliable are hybrids?

Is hybrid technology reliable? I think thinking of buying a new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Will it be better than the diesel version?

It's selling like mad, now Mitsubishi UK's biggest profit earner. But the sense of buying it depends what you want it for. If you'll be driving big distances than the 2.3 diesel is a much better bet. If you'll mostly be bimbling about relatively short distances or need to go into Central London a lot, the PHEV makes the most sense. Also take a look at a Golf GTE. That offers the best drive of any plug in hybrid.
