Buying a new Qashqai - which petrol engine is best?
I want to buy a new Nissan Qashqai, but can't decide on which petrol engine to specify. Can you help?

The Renault derived 1.2DIG-T is by far the better engine. The old 1.6 is underpowered and lacking in torque. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/nissan/nissan-qash.../
They don't actually do the 1.6 petrol engine in the Qashqai any more anyway. Only the very good Renault derived 1.6DCi diesel.
