Smoky Nissan Qashqai

My Nissan Qashqai diesel (2007 model) jolts along at high speeds or high revs. There's also thick black smoke emitting from the exhaust. Any idea what the fault could be?

Get it to a diesel injection specialist. Could be a number of things and will also depend on whether it's a 1.5DCi or a 2.0DCi.
