Is air suspension worth the extra money?
Would the addition of the air suspension option on a new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sport give a smother ride?

Yes, but only as long as it is combined with sensible wheels and tyres: On a C-Class 16-inch with 205/60 R16 tyres.
