Are plug-in hyrbids reliable?
I’m thinking of buying a new Volkswagen Golf GTE. The car will be used mostly locally, but include the occasional long journey. The car is fitted with 1.4 petrol engine and six-speed DSG gearbox. Is this a potential reliability nightmare?

The six-speed DSG is good, because of its wet clutch. It's the dry clutch seven-speed DSGs that have suffered the problems. I was driving an Audi Q5 hybrid through a frozen forest in Northern Finland last Friday and can confirm that VAG hybrids do work well in all conditions.
