Megane brake fault - Should I expect Renault to pay for the repair?
My 2011 Renault Megane was serviced three weeks ago. The brake pedal was falling to the floor, they ran a diagnostic test and replaced the pipe. Unfortunately that didn't fix the fault and they now think water has entered the ABS unit.
The car is out of warranty, but the dealer has offered to cover 40 per cent of the cost. Surely they should pay for all of it?

Depends if you have been having the brake fluid regularly changed every 2-3 years as part of the Renault services. If this has been done, then you are in a strong position. If it hasn't Renault can take the view that your lack of correct maintenance led to the problem.
