Where have all the private sellers gone?
There does not seem to be many private sellers around anymore? Few adverts in the local newspaper and on the web searches only seem to bring up dealers? I have tried a wanted ad in the local newspaper with no joy!
I have the cash to buy a second hand car, with no part exchange - is the only place to use this advantage the car auctions? Or is there somewhere else?

The new VED rules make it difficult for private vendors to sell cars. Almost as if they were brought in specifically to benefit traders. Bit of a monopoly though. Prices will only come down if private buyers stop buying. Yes, of course dealers want you to buy on finance. Base rate 1%. Finance rate 10%. That's the only place there's any profit.
