Replacing a Saab with a Mitsubishi ASX?
I wish to purchase a not too large SUV to replace my Saab 95 and
the ASX is about the right size. It has to be auto and reasonably quick.

Happily the ASX 2.2 diesel has Mitsubishi's 2,268cc chain cam diesel rather than the PSA 2.2 and this is a very good engine. I got 45mpg out of it in a manual Outlander. John tested the ASX with this engine here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/mitsubishi/mitsubi.../
