Which petrol crossover?
I need an SUV (or an estate with good ground clearance and raised seating position). Recommendations invariably favour diesels but my mileage is only 5000 per year and I am concerned about government threats to ban diesels from urban areas.
I was set on a Qashqai 1.6 petrol but all they do now is a puny 1.2 petrol. Any suggestions please?

Actually the Qashqai 1.2DIG-T is vastly better than the asthmatic old 1.6 they used to put in Qashqais. Far more relaxed on the motorway, far more economical, but definitely not powerful. But you might prefer the new Suzuki Vitara 1.6: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/suzuki/suzuki-vita.../
