Looking for a new medium sized auto

I am looking for a medium sized automatic, with good comfort and sat-nav. I do about 15,000 miles a year - 30 mile round commute with occasional long haul motorway trips - so feel I could go either way on petrol or diesel.

Have considered a petrol A3 saloon s-tronic, but wondering if I'm being a bit blinkered on Audi. Could you come up with another suggestions?
