Where can I find out about known problems with particular vehicles?
Having read your report I bought a used (55 plate) Volkswagen Transporter 2.5 diesel, and so far so good. But in your articles you often refer to a particular vehicle's manufacturer being aware of a particular problem with this or that on a vehicle. Is there a web site anyone can see these "problems" before they make a purchase ? A bit late for me, but I would love to know about my purchase, and what to lookout for.

It's always advisable to find out what problems a vehicle may have so you can pre-empt them. Here's our list of what to look out for on the T5: honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/volkswagen/t5-caravelle-...d
If you want to find out whether there have been any recalls you need to go to the VOSA website which is here: www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/default.asp
