Land Rover Discovery - which winter tyres are best?

I live in the Scottish Highlands, which gets heavy snow and ice from November till April. I own a 2009 Land Rover Discovery, but am not sure which tyres to buy as I only spend 10 per cent of my time off road. Should I purchase winter tyres or heavy treaded tyres like General Grabber AT?
