Honda Civic: 1.8 petrol vs 1.6 diesel?
Can the 1.6 diesel be driven like a normal car without causing dpf problems?
How long a drive before the engine is hot enough to burn the exhaust soot? I do a lot of short 4.5mile trips in winter I find it hard to believe that this will not result in a blocked dpf.

I have not yet heard of any problems, probably because the engine is so efficient that it creates very little soot in the first place. But short runs from cold of less than 10 miles will eventually take their toll.
