What could be causing our MINI Cooper S to lose power?
I bought a used 2005 MINI Cooper S from a German dealer a few years ago. The car had only 5000km, now it has 40,000km. The car has been running great and we really like our little MINI as a second family car. We have always had service and repair done at the authorised MINI garage in Oslo, Norway or in Kiel, Germany. For the last month the car has been in and out of the authorised garage. Four warning lights are coming on - the yellow engine, emission, anti spin and tyre pressure lights. They keep changing expensive parts (wiring, the brain, gas parts) and then it runs ok for a few miles or more, then the lights come back and the motor loses its power, but is able to run home on half power. Any ideas?

There is a known problem with the DSC that is quite easily and reasonably cheaply cured by replacement of the faulty section of the DSC module.
