Audi A3 rattle on start up

I have an Audi A3 diesel automatic (2007). It has done 84,000 miles and there is a rattle on start up, which makes it difficult to pull away smoothly. However, there's no untoward noises or vibrations when driving.

I have been told this could be the dual mass flywheel starting to fail, but I did not think automatics had DMFs. What do you think?

As I began to read this I, too, thought DMF. You have a DSG/s-tronic, not a torque converter auto and these do have DMFs.
