Need to replace my 206 GTI - what do you recommend?
I am selling my 10 year old Peugeot 206 GTI and would like a car with a similar spec and acceleration. My local mechanic recommends a Honda Jazz for greater reliability, but I am worried that it won't give the same acceleration which I like as a safety feature. I am tempted to go for the new Peugeot 208 GTI. What do you think?

A Jazz definitely won't. The car to buy in this class is the Ford Fiesta ST. That handles brilliantly, and safely, and goes very well too. It's better than the 208 GTI, but the 208 GTI is a classier machine, more suited to the over 40s. Both tested and video tested at www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests
