Focus Focus lacking power - what's the fault?

My Ford Focus (2000) feels as though it is going to stall, with a lack of power and juddering at low speeds. Any idea what the fault could be?

Reads like a problem with the Mass Airflow Sensor, that Ford calls a MAF sensor.
