Central locking problem with Vauxhall Meriva
We have just bought a Vauxhall Meriva (2010). The car is fine but we have a major problem - we can unlock all the doors with the central locking key, however when inside the car once you lock all doors you cannot open all the doors by simply pulling up the lock button on the driver side door.
The reason this is a big problem is we have two children in the car and every time my wife gets out the car to take the kids out she has to reach from inside to unlock both doors or use the key to unlock the doors. Is this a fault or are we doing something wrong?

First you need to read the driver's manual to find out how the locking system is supposed to work. If it is faulty, take it back to the dealer you bought it from and ask for it to be fixed. If it is supposed to be as you describe as a safety feature because of the rear hinged rear doors, then there's nothing much you can do.
