Why doesn't my mileometer illuminate?

I just had an MoT on my Y-reg Astra. I got it back and went for a run and I noticed that my mileage and mile trip were not illuminated. As I'm not very good with cars I thought it could be a fuse gone, but I'm not sure which fuse it will be. If it's not a fuse - any other ideas?

This is an older model and unfortunately we're not sure what this fault is. Try posting something in the Technical Matters of the Backroom Forum where someone might know what the fault is and be able to offer some useful advice: honestjohn.co.uk/forum/threads.htm?f=4
