Heater problems
I took my 2001 ka to a local garage as the heater was only blowing cold. They replaced the heater control valve at a cost of £90 but now it is only blowing hot air. They told me that this means i need the heater matrix? replaced. Does this sound correct??

Doesn't figure. The valve controls the flow of hot water from the engine into the heater. So if they put a new one in and it was working it could stop the flow of hot water into the heater matrix. If the matrix was blocked then that could stop hot water from entering and leaving the heater matrix, but if you are getting hot water in but can't shut it off the culprit has to be the valve. Common problem on the Ka and Fiesta.
