Buying a new car - Skoda, SEAT or Volkwagen?

I am looking to buy a new car. I have narrowed down my choice to the Skoda Octavia, SEAT Leon or Volkswagen Golf with the 1.4 turbo petrol engine. However, I believe that the 1.4 in each of these cars is slightly different. Which is likely to be the most reliable and which car would you buy?

The latest MQB subframe models all have the same belt cam, turbo only EA211 1.4TSI engines either with 122PS, or 140PS in the ACT version. New cars ordered now will have slight upgrades to 125PS and 150PS. The 122/125 is good. The 140/150 is astonishingly good, pulling smoothly from low revs in high gears even uphill.

Quality and refinement are impressive. Great to drive with sharp handling. Shares same base as contemporary Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf.
Saloon shape but actually a practical hatchback. Far superior interior quality than previous model.
