Wheel problems with Peugeot Partner Tepee

I recently acquired a Peugeot Partner Tepee Outdoor as part of my Motability contract. The car chosen was simply on the basis that my wheelchair would fit; however, the high floor and weight of my wheelchair (125 kg) has forced me to lower my speed rather dramatically.

Now, I have to crawl around roundabouts and corners at no more than 20 mph or even less (much to the annoyance of other drivers!). The car requires very careful handling to mitigate the inherent instability of the vehicle. The idea was flawed as the hoist fitted has damaged the back of my chair and requires the removal of the driving arm before loading. Is there anywhere an advice site for the choice of the appropriate vehicle for a wheelchair user like me?

You should have got one of these with an electric ramp that lowers the floor and is fitted with tethers for the wheelchair. www.brotherwood.com ; This is a help site: www.rica.org.uk/ More links in the 'disabled' section of this directory: www.honestjohn.co.uk/useful-websites/specialists/
