Faulty used car - should we expect the dealer to fix it?
My company has purchased a one owner, low mileage secondhand 2009 Vauxhall Zafira with a warranty (purchase price £6999.00). The vehicle was delivered one month late due to ‘unforeseen’ problems and since taking delivery four weeks ago the car has not been reliable.
Today it has let us down again today with the same/similar fault (dash warning light and lack of power). Should our company be expected to have the car repaired under its warranty with a garage of our choice? Or is it not unreasonable to expect the supplying dealer to rectify the fault after such a short time?
