Dealer warranty is not worth the paper it is written on - what are my options?
A couple of months ago I bought a used BMW 5 Series (2011) from a dealer. The car was sold with a warranty, which covers all suspension and parts. A month after I bought the car the rear suspension dropped and the air spring had to be replaced. The dealer is 40 miles away from where I live and I could not drive that far with this damage. The dealer refused to pay for a recovery track or to give me a courtesy car and when I called with this problem they said I had to wait two weeks for the service in their garage.
They also advised me to contact the warranty company direct, which I did. However, the company refused to pay for the labour work and I was forced to cover the expense myself. I now feel totally ripped off as I paid £1000 for the warranty and it’s not worth the paper it is written on. What are my options?

Sue the dealer who sold you the warranty that did not pay for the full cost of the repair. Don't sue the warranty insurer. Then dealer sold you the car and the warranty so he is liable. Law here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
