Which car for a 24-year-old female?

I am a 24 year old girl looking for a little run around car, currently have a MINI Cooper S Convertible but it's not getting its use.

I am looking at Smart cars, Polos, Golfs and Civics and just wanted some advice on the best option? I will only be town driving and mileage a year would be 7000. I am swinging towards the smart car.
