Used car with mileage discrepancy - should I still buy it?
I am hoping to buy a used Mazda from a Hyundai dealer. The RAC car data check shows outstanding finance due to unit stocking and a mileage discrepancy. I don't think the unit stocking is an issue as I have discussed this with the dealer.
However, the NMR and DVLA mileage data don't match. NMR says the car has done 37,000 miles, but DVLA recorded three weeks lata says 78,000. Newest NMR data for today (probably from the data I entered) says 37,900.
I have a full Mazda service history and MOT certificate which all match the NMR records and the dealer's advert at 37,900. What should I do about the DVLA data? The dealer says it must be a mistake.

It probably is a mistake, but if you buy the car and it's not a mistake then you are stuck with it, so the answer is not to buy the car.
