Buying a new car - which wheels should I get?

I am looking at the new Skoda Elegance Estate 2.0 TDI (non DSG). I have noted your comments on wheel and tyre size and comfort on many cars. The Elegance Estate comes standard with Teron 225/45/R17 91W.

I prefer the look of the Skoda Ilias wheel 205/55 R16 91V, would it improve ride or cause handling issues?

Presumably you mean an Octavia? If there is a lesser version with the 2.0TDI engine and 205/55 R16 91Vs then, check with your insurer, but 91Vs should be okay.
