When should I change my car?
I have been very lucky, and have owned my 2006 Ford Mondeo since 6000 miles. Now at 140,000 miles, my only repair has been a reversing light sensor for £9. The car drives like new, although the inside bears testament to children and dogs.
The $64,000 question is when to change? Do I hang on and wait 'til something goes bang, and head to the scrapyard, or trade/sell while there is still some value?

Yes. Worthless on the used market with a crocodiled interior. So just keep on running and when something big breaks make a decision with your head rather than your heart.
