Brake discs worn after just 8500 miles
My 2007 Toyota Auris was requested to go back to the dealer following its first service as they wanted to check the brake disc due to possible corrosion. Three hours later I received a call to say they needed replacing (discs and pads on the front. The car has only done 8500 miles and is 20 months old, surely the brakes should last longer than this?

The problem is overnight corrosion not being cleaned off by the first braking of the next day. But if discs to corrode so badly in 8,500 miles and 20 months I think the manufacturer should bear some responsibility, so push for either a warranty repair or goodwill from Toyota via the dealer.
