Volvo XC70 - which wheel size is best?

I have finally decided to buy a new Volvo XC70, what tyre size do you recommend for the best ride? Also, can you tell me if there are any known faults with this model?

I'm in a Volvo S60 D4 181 on 17s with 225/50 R17s and they aren't too bad. 16s will be more comfortable. 18s are less comfortable, more prone to damage and more expensive to replace. The 181 is too new for any faults to emerge. Mine's been fine for 3000 miles and currently reading 6500 miles.
