Vauxhall Vectra problems
I own a 2003 Vauxhall Vectra 2.2 automatic, which has been unused for 11 months. I drove the car yesterday and it feels like the brakes are biting and locking the wheels. The auto box also changes down at the same time and slows the car. Any idea what’s wrong?

If you aren't touching the brakes when this happens then the box must be shifting down to first. If you are touching the brakes then the callipers must be sticking on their pins. Could be that the pins can be cleaned up with an airline.

Far better than previous Vectra. Now with decent handling and an excellent ride. Plenty of safety kit. Roomy in the front. Big boot. Good looks.
