Ex Hire cars - what's the problem?
If as you have stated, there is nothing to worry about when buying an Ex Hire vehicle then why don't car dealers state the fact that they are ex hire when selling a car?
I can only think that they are hiding something that may put off potential buyers.
The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended), and The OFT advice to motor traders, both recommend that they disclose the fact " as shown below:

Examples of misleading actions:
Creating a misleading impression about the previous usage of a vehicle. For example, giving the impression that a vehicle has one previous user – through the use of statements such as ‘one previous owner’ – when in fact it is an ex-business use vehicle that has had multiple previous users (such as an ex-rental, driving school vehicle or taxi)

Because car buyers are stupidly afraid of buying ex hire cars because of the ancient myths about them perpetuated by stupid friends and ignorant journalists and dumb legislators that pander to foolish prejudice.
