I've unknowingly bought an ex-hire car...
On 23 November, I bought a 61-plate (registered Feb 2012) Volkswagen Golf 1.2 TSI 85 S five-door for £9629 from a dealer. The salesman told my wife and I that the car was previously registered to Volkswagen, but when I received the logbook from the DVLA it appears that the car was actually registered to Europcar Group UK Ltd.
I usually keep my cars a minimum of seven years and drive about 5000 miles per year. Am I likely to have future problems in light of the car being ex-hire?

No. Drivers don't damage hire cars any more because of the very expensive penalties if they do, and usually, because of the number of different drivers, an ex-hire car turns out to be better run-in. You seem to have paid a very reasonable price.
