Do we have a basis for a warranty claim for a faulty brake pad sensor in my daughter's Mazda 5?

My step daughter has a Mazda 5 registered in June 2007. It has had an annoying squealing noise from the brakes. The noise comes of its own accord - touch the brake pedal and it goes away. The car has been serviced by a main dealer since new. Last week it was in for its third service and the noise was reported again. This time they found it was the front pad sensor that was the problem, so they replaced the front pads and charged £130. The milage is 18,795 and the pads are only half-worn. I think since it was the sensor that was at fault and not the pads it should be covered by warranty, or at least we should get a discount.

I can't and won't say on the basis of this. You need to pay for an independent engineer's report.
