Why are the tyres on mu Lexus so noisy?

I have a 2001 Lexus LS430: it’s the best car I have ever had by quite a long way. The engine and transmission are virtually silent, but I get excessive noise from the front tyres even though these are good quality. I have had the tracking checked, but it has not fixed the problem and on some surfaces the noise is so loud it drowns out the radio! Any suggestions?

Tyres now have noise ratings, so look for tyres with the lowest noise ratings. They may be listed on www.tyrereviews.co.uk Probably Michelin Primacy 3s or Goodyear Excellence. But the fact that everything else is so quiet will draw your attention to the tyres far more than if the engine was noisier.
