Golf SE TDI (115) Estate Mk 4 (2000) Gearbox, mast and cambelt repair
My Golf SE TDI Estate Mk 4 (2000), which I bought in 2013 for £800 and which has clocked up 71,000 miles, requires a new gearbox, mast, and cam belt. Should I go ahead with the repairs or not? Repairs and parts would exceed would I originally paid for the car.

Your decision, not mine. I would never spend more on a car than the car was worth. But you might take the view that a replacement car would cost you even more.
