Which large estate car?
I'm looking to buy a new estate. Currently I own a 2008 Audi A4 B7 Avant 1.9tdi. with 115PS. I'm looking at a newer Audi, maybe 2009 or 10, or a BMW 520d 2009/10.
I need a square boot at least 40 inches wide. There aren't many estates in this category with this size boot! I'm very tempted by your excellent review of the Exeo, but I'm worried about depreciation as its now not being made anymore. I would hope to trade in again within three years. Budget is around £12,000 inc my Audi trade in price.
Which would you recommend, if any? Maybe there's another model I've missed?

The old 1.9TDI engine in VAG cars was reliable and had no diesel particulate filter to worry about. Newer engines are more likely to cause problems, including the 2.0TDI 143 in the Exeo ST. If you want big a Mondeo is probably best. Generally more reliable than VAG cars and BMWs.
