Buying a car with good access

I need advice on buying a used car for a friend who has mobility issues and finds it difficult to bend when getting into a car. He wants a fairly normal car but understands that a 4x4 might have to be an option because of his requirements. He has a budget of around £15,000 to spend and needs something with tall doors. Can you recommend anything?

A Volkswagen Golf Plus, Ford C-Max, Mazda 5, that sort of thing makes the most sense.

Spacious and flexible interior, almost as nice to drive as a regular Golf, comfortable for rear-seat passengers.
