Recommend an SUV for local use in the Alps and for occasional long journeys?
My daughter lives permanently in a high ski resort in the French Alps (Val d'Isere) and needs a four wheel drive (obviously with winter tyres as well) for use by her and husband and three young children with storage for push chairs etc. They will also use it for long journeys back to the UK two or three times a year, which entails quite a lot of luggage. There is no specific budget, but not surprisingly money is important and not unlimited. Any suggestions please?

Either a BMW X3 2.0d manual x-drive, a Mazda CX-5 2.2 Skyactiv D 150 manual 4WD or a KIA Sorento 2.2 CRDI 192 KX-2 Nav manual.
